This photograph shows the house on the Oude Delft 50-52 where Anthonie Heinsius was born in 1641. It's the one with the double entrance on the right side of the photograph. The house came into the possession of the Heinsius family in 1641 and they sold it in 1682.
After Anthonie Heinsius left the house it was split in two. In the eighteenth century the front of the building was restructured, and that was probably the time the corridor on the left was included in the front. The appearance of the building is therefore quite different now than it was in Heinsius' time. If I'm correct the sign near the corridor says nothing about the famous occupant of the building.
