The Composition of the Prussian Cavalry on 1 January 1703
- Prussian Cavalry order of battle on 1 January 1703
Cavalry OOB
This Order of battle shows the cavalry and dragoon units of the Prussian army. The numbers in front of the units are the numbers these units had in 1805. The picture thus shows that four dragoon regiments became regular cavalry units later on. I.e. in the picture they are under the dragoon regiments, but in 1805 they have a regular cavalry number. The Anspach was later split in the dragoon regiments numbered DR1 and DR2.
The regiments Heyden and Wartensleben were disbanded after the war. The Gardes du Corps were added to the Gens d'armes, and after the death of King Frederic a new Gardes du Corps was raised with the number 13.
